Utilizing IoT for the Detection of Harmful Mercury Substance in Cosmetics through pH Sensor

The cosmetic industry faces the challenge of detecting mercury contamination in their products, which can lead to harmful health effects such as renal damage, anxiety, depression, and memory loss. This project focuses on developing an IoT-based mercury substance detector for cosmetic products. It involves selecting a suitable sensor, determining the mercury detection range in cosmetics, and building an IoT circuit. The software tools used are Arduino IDE, Blynk, and Google Spreadsheet. Arduino IDE is employed for coding the NodeMCU, while Blynk and Google Spreadsheet receive data from the Node

Simulation and Finite Element Analysis of a Generic Damping System

An analysis of a generic damping system is developed through finite element simulations. The analysis is divided into three stages: a structural static analysis, a modal analysis based on the stationary structural analysis, and a structural transient analysis aimed at obtaining the deformation profile of the damping system. An instantaneous force was applied to simulate the impact effect on the generic damper. Consequently, the obtained results allow us to present the maximum permissible load for the system, based on a safety factor criterion of 1.4 for this study. Additionally, we showcase st

Numerical comparison of an H-Darrieus rotor with two tank configurations for a gravitational vortex turbine

The gravitational vortex turbine (GVT) is an increasingly popular alternative for energy generation and consumption due to its easy manufacturing and low maintenance requirements. This study focuses on key aspects of the GVT, including the design of the rotor, the tank geometry, and the formation of the vortex. The tank geometry and vortex formation were also considered in this study. Different tank geometries, such as conical and cylindrical tanks, were evaluated, with experimental and numerical analyses conducted to compare their efficiencies. The conical tank demonstrated superior performan

Perceptions of Climate Change in the Rural Population and their Expected Impact on the Secondary Metabolite and Essential Oils of Plants (Calamintha Officinalis)

Currently, the pressing issue of climate change presents a substantial ecological peril to life on Earth, causing deterioration in plant biodiversity and disruptions in physiological and morphological processes within plants. The assessment of secondary metabolites across various treatments unveils noteworthy revelations. In treatment 1 (plant 1), the analysis uncovers the presence of alkaloids (13.3%), coumarins (4.36%), tannins (4.34%), flavonoids (6.83%), and saponins (6.33%). In contrast, treatment 2 (plant 2) showcases elevated proportions of alkaloids (15.1%), coumarins (4.55%), tannins

Physiological Adaptation of Plants under Stressful Climatic Conditions

Climate change is a pressing ecological issue that poses a significant threat to life on Earth. In light of this, a scientific study has been conducted in the Taounate region to investigate this phenomenon. The main objective of the study is to predict the impact of climate change on the content of secondary metabolites and chemical compounds of essential oils under three different treatments. The analysis of the qualitative and quantitative results for Salvia officinalis shows that the percentage of primary metabolites varies across the first, second, and fourth years of the study. The first
