A SECURED COMPUTER BASED TEST SYSTEM WITH RESUMPTION CAPABILITY MODULE
The use of Information and Communication Technology tools for registering and administering examinations had helped in attaining efficiency and error-free results and computation. This research developed a secured computer-based testing system with resumption capability module. The designs were implemented using HTML, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript platforms. The system was tested locally using WAMP and was found to be effective in reducing the problem of authenticity (especially with the Fingerprint Mechanism embedded), and facilitated the resumption capability in the case of failure using the temporal storage on the client agent which interacts with the server client. The performance evaluation metrics revealed that the developed system proved more efficient and effective as it had secured login, resumption capability, multi-instructor, and portability as elected features that were lacking in the existing ones.
