Factors Effecting the Implementation of 3D Printing Technology in Developing Countries: A Review

The market for 3D printing was estimated to be worth 10.2 billion USD in 2018 and is anticipated to increase. The widespread use of 3D printing may create new industries, including home-based manufacturing, and present opportunities for business owners. Today, 3D printing technology is successfully used to produce most goods used today, from basic plastics to sophisticated ceramics and metallics. The paper begins with the analysis of existing literature on 3D printing technology in developing nations. Data on 3D printing technology in many nations is examined to identify the main elements for the successful application of 3D printing technology to fill this research gap. Factors have been identified, and the impact of those parameters on the application of 3D printing technology has been examined in earlier publications. These include organizational structure (18.7%), management (12.5%), cost (25%), technology (37.5%), and knowledge (43.7%).
