The Generalized Truncated Weibull Family of Distributions (GTW-X): Some properties and Applications

In this paper, we propose and study some properties of a new family of distributions, namely the Generalized Truncated Weibull family of distributions (the GTW-X family). The new family is an generalisation of the Truncated-Weibull distributions (the TW-G family) discussed in Najarzadegan et al.,2017. It is observed that many properties of this new family are quite similar to those of TW-G family. Therfore this distribution can be used as a possible alternative to TW-G distributions, especially when the support of the distribution is not reduced to [0, 1]. We present a real life data set, where it is observed that the GTW-X family has better fit compared to TW-G family.
