Synthetic data consists of artificially generated data. When data are scarce, or of poor quality, synthetic data can be used, for example, to improve the performance of machine learning models. Generative adversarial networks (GANs) are a state-of-the-art deep generative models that can generate novel synthetic samples that follow the underlying data distribution of the original dataset. Reviews on synthetic data generation and on GANs have already been written. However, none in the relevant literature, to the best of our knowledge, has explicitly combined these two topics. This survey aims
Population, resources and environment constitute an interacting and interdependent whole. Only by scientifically forecasting and accurately grasping future population trends can we use limited resources to promote the sustainable development of society. Because the population system is affected by many complex factors and the structural relations among these factors are complex, it can be regarded as a typical dynamic grey system. This paper introduces the damping accumulated operator to construct the grey population prediction model based on the nonlinear grey Bernoulli model in order to d
Electric vehicles (EVs) are widely applied in logistics companies’ urban logistics distribution, as fuel prices increase and environmental awareness grows. This study introduces an EV charging station (CS) location-routing problem with time windows and resource sharing (EVCS-LRPTWRS). Resource sharing, among multiple depots within multiple service periods is proposed to adjust the transportation resource configuration for a sustainable logistics development. Solving the EVCS-LRPTWRS involves a periodic CS location selection and a multi-depot multi-period EV routing optimization. A bi-
Trauma is considered a “modern civilized sickness”, and its occurrence substantially affects all of society, as well as individuals. The implementation of trauma emergency systems in cities with young, prosperous, and highly mobile populations is necessary and significant. A complete trauma emergency system includes both low-level trauma centers that offer basic emergency services and high-level trauma centers that offer comprehensive services. GIS and operational research methods were used to solve the location problem associated with these centers. This study analyzed the spat
As one of the more difficult problems in the field of computer vision, utilizing object image detection technology in a complex environment includes other key technologies, such as pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, and digital image processing. However, because an environment can be complex, changeable, highly different, and easily confused with the target, the target is easily affected by other factors, such as insufficient light, partial occlusion, background interference, etc., making the detection of multiple targets extremely difficult and the robustness of the algorithm lo
