Feasibility Study of One-Route Partial Oxidation of Methane to Methanol: Thermodynamic Equilibrium Analysis

The possibility of the formation of methanol and the prediction of the equilibrium product distribution via one-step partial oxidation of methane was evaluated in this paper. The HSC Chemistry software was used to do this thermodynamic analysis, which is based on Gibbs free energy minimization. The reactions are seen at temperatures ranging from 25 to 1750 degrees Celsius and methane/oxygen ratios (MOR) varying from 1:1 to 5:1 at 1 bar constant pressure. Because of the negative ΔGof values and significant values of ln K, the results show that the reactions are feasible, plausible, and strongl

One-Step Catalytic Transformation of Cellulose to Ethanol Over Nickel/Sulfonated Active Carbon: Thermodynamic and Kinetic Study

Research on cellulose as a source for ethanol production through a one-step catalytic reaction using heterogeneous catalysts is a topic of considerable interest presently. The one-step catalytic process is needed to save energy and time in the process of producing ethanol from biomass sources. In this experiment, the thermodynamics and kinetics are studied to determine the parameters that affect the one-step catalytic process using heterogeneous catalysts. The results of research on screening catalysts between Active Carbon (AC), Sulfonated Active Carbon (SAC), and Nickel-Sulfonated Active Car

POTHOLE DETECTION USING IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD

The goal of this project is to develop a pothole detection system using image processing method and the YOLOv7 algorithm. The aim is to eliminate mismatching points in pothole detection and attain accurate matching points. Potholes are a common problem on roads and highways and can cause damage to vehicles, as well as pose a safety hazard to drivers and passengers. The use of image processing techniques for pothole detection offers a range of benefits, including improved road safety, cost savings, and improved accuracy and reliability. These benefits have motivated the development and use of t

Analysis of Distance Effect Between Transmitter and Receiver Coil on The Performance of Wireless Power Transfer System

Wireless power transfer (WPT) is a concept to transfer electrical power from a sending coil to a receiving coil without wire. The previous researchers have studied about the WPT using its implementation in simulation modelling, but it is little supporting that related to the mathematical formulation, especially in the distance between the sending and receiving coil. This paper presents a simulation modelling of WPT system using MATLAB SIMULINK based on the mathematical formulation that related to the inductance of inductor of the sending and receiving coil, turn number of coil and mutual induc

ACTUAL AND SIMULATED TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE OF GRID-CONNECTED PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS WITH ASSESSMENT OF THERMAL LOSS IN TROPICAL RAINFOREST CLIMATE

The growing utilization of photovoltaic (PV) systems has driven the development of software simulation tools to improve the design and performance of such systems. However, the persistent challenge is the discrepancies between simulated and actual system performance. This study evaluated the technical performance of retrofitted grid-connected PV (GCPV) systems, focusing on performance ratio (PR) under tropical climate condition. Since previous studies have revealed that thermal loss accounts for up to 14% of the total system loss, this study has analysed the actual and PVsyst simulated thermal
