Generalized discrete reaching law based on implicit integration

This paper develops an inner stator current controller based on an enhanced reaching-law-based discrete-time terminal sliding mode. The problem of tracking stator currents with high accuracy while ensuring the robustness of a six-phase induction motor in the presence of uncertain electrical parameters and unmeasurable states is tackled. The unknown dynamics are approximated by using a time delay estimation method. Then, an enhanced power-reaching law is used to make each stage of the convergence faster. A stability analysis and the system controller’s finite-time convergence are demon

Trajectory tracking design and experiment of mobile robot based on improved integral terminal sliding mode control approach

A nonlinear stiffness actuator (NSA) can achieve high torque/force resolution in the low stiffness range and high bandwidth in the high stiffness range. However, for the NSA, due to the imperfect performance of the elastic mechanical component such as friction, hysteresis, and unmeasurable energy consumption caused by former factors, it is more difficult to achieve accurate position control compared to the rigid actuator. Moreover, for a compliant robot with multiple degree of freedoms (DOFs) driven by NSAs, the influence of every NSA on the trajectory of the end effector is different and e

Partial component consensus of second-order multi-agent systems via adaptive intermittent pinning control

A periodic intermittent adaptive control method with saturation is proposed to pin the quasi-consensus of nonlinear heterogeneous multi-agent systems with external disturbances in this paper. A new periodic intermittent adaptive control protocol with saturation is designed to control the internal coupling between the follower agents and the feedback gain between the leader and the follower. In particular, we use the saturation adaptive law: when the quasi-consensus error converges to a certain range, the adaptive coupling edge weight and the adaptive feedback gain will not be updated. Densely occluded grasping objects detection based on RGB-D fusion

Indoor service robots need to build an object-centric semantic map to understand and execute human instructions. Conventional visual simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) systems build a map using geometric features such as points, lines, and planes as landmarks. However, they lack a semantic understanding of the environment. This paper proposes an object-level semantic SLAM algorithm based on RGB-D data, which uses a quadric surface as an object model to compactly represent the object’s position, orientation, and shape. This paper proposes and derives two types of RGB-D camera

Fault diagnosis of small sample of oxygen top-blowing converter based on PGAT model

Slag splashing operations at the end of the converter blow process can improve the furnace liner life and the converter operation rate. However, the effect of factors on slag splashing at actual dimensions is yet to be fully understood. A three-dimensional transient mathematical model coupled with the response surface analysis has been established to investigate the effects of the amount of remaining slag, oxygen lance height, and top-blowing nitrogen flowrate on the slag splashing process in a 120 ton top-blown converter. The predicted splashing density is validated by the experimental dat
